Dennis P. Ryan, 79, Colby, died Saturday, May 12, 2012.
He was born to Thomas and Clara Bremenkamp Ryan. He was a graduate of Holy Cross Abbey, Canon City, Colo.
He married Frances Albers. He was a farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Alan Ryan, Kevin Ryan and Phillip Ryan; six daughters, Angie Myers, Cynthia DeRee, Monique Leavitt, Maureen Bruggeman, Paula Burris and Sharon Ryan; a brother, David Ryan; four sisters, Judy Sears, Ethel Ortiz, Zita Bates and Katie Steavenson; 25 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Colby; burial in Scared Heart Cemetery, Colby, with military honors.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Baalman Mortuary, Colby.
A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Catholic School, Colby, in care of mortuary.
