Dale M. Detwiler, 89, Kensington, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Kearney, Neb.

He was born March 22, 1923, in Athol to Henry and Hilma (Drotts) Detwiler.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, of the home; a son, Milton, Kensington; three daughters, Linda Smith, Madison, Joyce Lenker, Phillipsburg, and Marcia Hrabe, Stockton; two brothers, Dick Detwiler, Athol and Loren Detwiler, Estes Park, Colo.; two sisters, Maxine Powell and Darlene Detwiler, both of Hutchinson, and Carol Overmiller, Smith Center; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at United Church of Kensington; burial in Cedar Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, both at Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg.

Memorials are suggested to Kensington Lions Club or United Church of Kensington in care of the funeral home.
