Dewey Lee Woodward, 58, Hoxie, died Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009, at his home.

He was born Jan. 24, 1951, in Hugoton, to Vernon A. and Verda (Kirk) Woodward.

He was a truck driver.

Survivors include his fiancé, Yvonne Brien, Hoxie; two sons, Brian Woodward and Jeff Woodward, Oklahoma City; a daughter, Leanne Gann, Wagoner, Okla.; a step-son, Marvie Morgan, Wagoner; four step-daughters, Stephanie Morgan, Wagoner, Annastasia Luft, Colby, Marsha Sanders, Stockton, and Ashley Luft, Kearney, Neb.; two brothers, Uryeal Woodward and Ronald Woodward; six sisters, Tootie Parkins, Bernice Helwig, Teresa Bollinger, Diana Ells, Esther Smith, and Carolyn Sandmeier; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Reed-Culver Chapel, Tahlequah, Okla.; burial in Boudinot Cemetery, Welling, Okla.

Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home, Hoxie, is in charge of arrangements.

Uncle Dewey, your passing was too sudden. I guess we never are ready for death, but I pray you are at true peace with our God. I also hope the funeral will be peaceful and that the rest of our family will think about their eternal future and come back to the Lord. We will miss you.
