Velma L. Deyoe

Velma L. Deyoe, 86, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, in Lakewood, Colo.

She was born Aug. 23, 1926, north of Weskan to William and Inez (Giffin) Paul. She was a 1944 graduate of Weskan High School and attended Fort Hays State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in English in 1948.

She married Fred Merlin Deyoe on June 2, 1947. They raised four children together in Dodge City. Her first job out of college was teaching English in Plainville, but for most of her life, she was a health information manager, working at Dodge City Medical Center, Southwest Clinic and Estes Park Hospital in Estes Park, Colo.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 11, at Coldwater United Methodist Church, 203 N. Philadelphia, Coldwater; burial in Crown Hill Cemetery, Coldwater.
