Donald Laevenstein

Donald Laevenstein, 61, Hoxie, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, at Sheridan County Health Complex, Hoxie.

He was born Jan. 25, 1947, in Quinter to Gabe and Elizabeth (Denning) Laevenstein.

He married Janet Diederich on May 25, 1968, in Selden. He owned Eastside Auto Service, Hoxie.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; two daughters, Jeannie Hamrick, Rush Center and Shelly Kuhn, Hoxie; a brother, Jim Laevenstein, Hoxie; a sister, Mary Bogner, Denver; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Frances Catholic Church, Hoxie; burial in St. Frances Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, both at Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home, Hoxie.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to St. Frances Catholic Cemetery Fund in care of the funeral home.
