Donna Rae Henning, 55, Russell, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at Russell Regional Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 14, 1956, in Chicago to Donald and Gertrude (Tichgelaar) VanderMeyden.
She married Timothy Henning on Oct. 9, 1985, in Stockton. She was a homemaker and had worked for Frontline Cleaning Service. She was a supporter of the International House of Prayer in Kansas City.
Survivors include her husband, Russell; four sons, Jeremy VanHeel, Highland Ind., Shane VanHeel, Hammond, Ind., and Joel and Daniel Henning, both of Russell; two daughters, Laura Roberts, Philadelphia, and Trisha McKee, Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, James VanderMeyden, Chicago; a sister, Cheryl Barabas, Lake of the Hills, Ill.; and nine grandchildren, Nevaeh, Adam and Wesley McKee, Cole and Olivia Roberts, Briana Henning, and Violet, Iris and Lilah VanHeel.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Dean VanderMeyden.
Services were today at Brock's North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601; burial in Fort Hays Memorial Gardens.
Memorials are suggested to the Donna Rae Henning Memorial Fund to be designated at a later date.
