Dorothy Irene McQuilliam, 95, Hutchinson, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at Hospice House in Hutchinson.

She was born Jan. 21, 1917, in Haven to Frank and Emily Peters Scheele.

She married Loyd L. McQuilliam on June 6, 1937, in Hutchinson. He preceded her in death Dec. 31, 1978.

She was a cook for Hutchinson High School and Hutchinson Junior college for many years.

She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two sons Robert McQuilliam and wife, Sue, Hays, and David McQuilliam and wife, Linda, Hutchinson; three daughters, Nancy Talbott and husband, Bill, Hays, Judith Anderson and husband, Phil, Wellington, Colo., Suzanne Oglesby and husband, Jim, Wichita; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Trapp and husband, Bruce, Haven; two sisters, Margaret Ioerger and Wilma Tingle, both of Goddard; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Lloyd McQuilliam; a son-in-law, Jim Costigan; a sister, Ruth Ioerger; and one great-granddaughter.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 407 E. 12th, Hutchinson; burial in Fairlawn Burial Park.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the church or to Hospice House of Reno County in care of the mortuary.
