Dorothy J. Crist, 92, died Thursday, May 9, 2013, at Gove County Medical Center Long Term Care, Quinter.

She was born May 17, 1920, in Philadelphia to Robert and Elizabeth Jones. She graduated from Frankford High School in Philadelphia.

She married B. Wayne Crist on Dec. 25, 1951. After moving to Kansas, she worked in the Employment Security Division for two years and then transferred to Vocational Rehabilitation Services.

Survivors include her husband; a sister, Evelyn Lady, Bay St. Louis, Miss.; her children, Danese Stahl, Grand Forks, N.D., Robert Crist, Mariposa, Calif., David Crist, Cincinnati, and Thomas Crist, Oxford, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Quinter Church of the Brethren; burial will take place before services at 9 a.m. in Baker Township Cemetery, Quinter.

Memorials are suggested to Elizabeth H. and Robert G. Jones Scholarship Endowment at Bethany Theological Seminary, Polo Church of the Brethren in Polo, Ill., Wenatchee Brethren-Baptist Church of the Brethren, Wenatchee, Wash., Imperial Heights Church, Los Angeles, Pomona Fellowship Church, Pomona, Calif., or Quinter Church of the Brethren in care of Schmitt Funeral Home, Quinter.
