Dorothy Lee Bear, 87, formerly of Dorrance and the Russell County area, died Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Society, Ellsworth.

She was born Sept. 15, 1926, in rural Dorrance to Oliver and Leah (Herbel) Cooper. She grew up in the Dorrance area and attended country schools.

She married George Weinhold on Nov. 16, 1942. He preceded her in death Feb. 16, 1965. She later married Clyde Bear on April 9, 1967. He preceded her in death Jan. 13, 2009. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Evert Weinhold, Nixa, Mo., and Peary Weinhold, Kanopolis; two daughters, Georgia Lee Moser, Norton, and Cindy Bear, Wichita; a sister, Marlene Baral, Bunker Hill; six grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell; burial in Wilson City Cemetery.

Visitation will be until 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to the Harden Hospice or Ellsworth Good Samaritan Society in care of the mortuary.
