Dorothy Marie Hinkhouse, 96, Stockton, formerly of Palco, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at Solomon Valley Manor, Stockton.

She was born May 14, 1913, near Cawker City to Joseph and Emma (Moxter) Roberts. She was a 1930 graduate of Cawker City High School.

She married Darrell Hinkhouse on July 24, 1953, in Palco. He preceded her in death Nov. 4, 1982. She taught at Waconda, Granite Creek and Beloit public school, spending 23 years as a teacher.

Survivors include 17 nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Palco United Methodist Church; burial in Pleasant View Cemetery, Palco.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Mosher-Kemp Family Funeral Home, 320 S.W. Second, Plainville, KS 67663, and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Monday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Palco City Park Revitalization in care of the funeral home.
