Dwayne H. Spady, 65, Hays, died Thursday, May 3, 2012, at Hays Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 12, 1947, in Liberal to Leonard and Marjorie (Gordon) Spady. He married Eugenia Kabler on Oct. 13, 1973, in Liberal.

He was owner of Dwayne's Designs Floral Shop in Hays. He was a member of Downtown Hays Development Corp., a leader in the House Fellowships and Ellis County leader for Govern from the Heart.

Survivors include his wife, of the home in Hays; sons, Eric and wife, Tammy, Andover, Andrew and wife, Kathy, Kettering, Ohio, and David and Sarah, Hays; his parents, Liberal; and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at North Oak Community Church, 3000 Oak, and will be conducted by the House Fellowships of Hays. Private burial will be in Mount Allen Cemetery, Hays.

Friends can call from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 20th and Pine.

Memorials are suggested in his memory to the Glover Haiti Adoption Fund in care of the Bank of Hays, 1000 W. 27th.
