Earl Richardson, 84, Stockton, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Hays Medical Center.

He was born April 19, 1929, in Old Webster to Albert W. and Frona C. (Anderson) Richardson.

He married Colleen (Wangler) Richardson on Nov. 11, 1950, in Brush, Colo. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean War and later in the National Guard.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; two daughters, Sandra Staton, Webster, and Becky Shunn, Stockton; a sister, Anna Neuschafer, Enterprise; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Ann Glenn.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Stockton United Methodist Church; burial in Mount Vernon Cemetery, with military rites by Fort Riley Honor Guard and VFW Post No. 8873.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, Stockton.

Memorials are suggested to VFW Post No. 8873 or Solomon Valley Manor in care of the funeral home.
