Edwin "Ed" Charles Lager, 75, Yukon, Okla., formerly of Harper, died Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at Integris Baptist Medical Center, Oklahoma City.
He was born April 7, 1934, in Hays to Irene M. (Comeau) and Fredrick L. Lager.
He and his wife, Billie, managed Jim's Restaurant, Bethany.
Survivors include his wife, Susan, of the home; seven sons, Fred Lager, Mike Lager and Ronnie Unruh, all of Wichita, Randy Unruh, Oklahoma City, Paul Lager, Burkburnett, Texas, Eddie Lager, El Reno, Okla., and Joe Allen, Prescott, Ariz.; seven daughters, Carla Smith, Harper, Tanya Killough, Wichita, Linda Jones, Round Rock, Texas, Lisa Lager, Oklahoma City, Wanda Powell and Cindy Allen, both of Yukon, and Carol Guess, Collinsville, Okla.; a brother, Alfred "Bud" Lager, Grinnell; three sisters, Rose Hughes, Oakley, Pat Hampel, Kingman, and Janet Kaiser, Quinter; 26 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Lager; two children, Charles Lager and Marjorie Lager; and a grandson.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, Yukon; burial in Yukon Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to American Heart Association, American Lung Association or St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, Yukon, in care of Yanda and Son Funeral Home, Yukon.
