Edwin J. 'Ed' Basgall

Edwin J. "Ed" Basgall, 74, La Crosse, formerly of Phillipsburg, died Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Regent Park Rehabilitation & Healthcare, Wichita.

He was born Feb. 16, 1939, in rural Rush County to Sylvester and Florentine (Urban) Basgall.

He retired from Koch Industries in 2001.

Survivors include two sons, Brian Basgall, and wife, Heather, Wichita, and Steve Basgall, and wife, Michelle, La Crosse; three brothers, Les Basgall, Victoria, Donnie Basgall, Bison, and Darrell Basgall, Great Bend; a sister, Lucretia Giesch, Salina; and three grandchildren, Clayton Basgall, Alicia Basgall, and Casey Basgall.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Blake Basgall; and a sister, Darlene Adams.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, La Crosse; burial in La Crosse City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday with family receiving friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse.

A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the Hays Baseball Association, or SRCA Drag Strip, Great Bend, in care of the funeral home.
