Edwin Riley Coulter, 83, Hoxie, died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, at Hays Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 26, 1928, in Sheridan County to Charles Riley Coulter and Mary Lucretia Husted.
He married Lorraine (Mills) Coulter on June 2, 1952, in Rockingham, N.C.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Chuck Coulter, Tishomingo, Okla., and Tim Coulter, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a daughter, Janet Dunbar, Menahga, Minn.; a sister, JoAnn Mauck, Hoxie; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Christian Church, Hoxie; burial in Hoxie City Cemetery, with military rites by Fort Riley Honor Guard.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, with family receiving friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, all at the funeral home.
