Eleanor Helen Younker, 101, Hays, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, in Hays.

She was born Sept. 23, 1912, in Hays to Anton F. and Rosa (Maska) Arnhold.

She married Anton “Tony” M. Younker on Jan. 27, 1937. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include three daughters, Esther McCleland, Charlotte Hoffman, both of Hays, and Barbara Ochs, Lawrence; a sister, Theresa Obholz, Hays; four grandchildren, Greg Reno and wife, Tammie, Lawrence, Shannon Owens, Hays, Sean Hoffman and wife, Monica, Broomfield, Colo., and Brandy Seitz and husband, John, Olathe; three great-grandchildren, Mason Hoffman, Adi Brooke Hoffman and Xavier James; and two step-grandchildren, Casey Godeniz and Emily Reno.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Edd, Wendelin, Lawrence and Richard; four sisters, Virginia Leiker, Pauline Leiker, Clara Augustine and Catherine Schumacher; and two sons-in-law, Larry Hoffman and Steven Ochs.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Friday, both at Brock’s Funeral Chapel, 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601.

A vigil/rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
