Emmanuel 'Mac' David Dumler

Emmanuel "Mac" David Dumler, 70, Lee's Summit, Mo., formerly of Russell, died Friday, May 17, 2013, at Hays Medical Center.

He was born July 10, 1942, in Hays to Ferdinand and Tabea Esther (Boxberger) Dumler. He grew up south of Russell and graduated from Otis High School.

He married Brenda Porter on Aug. 21, 1966, in Lee's Summit. He owned and managed several real estate properties in the Kansas City area. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years; two sons, David Dumler and Robert Dumler, all of Lee's Summit; a daughter, Susan Moffatt, Newcastle, Wash.; a brother, Calvin Dumler, Great Bend; and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at United Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Milberger, with military rites by Russell Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 6240 Honor Guard.

Visitation with the family will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to United Emmanuel Lutheran Church Memorial Fund in care of Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell.
