Esther Belle (Smith) Alexander, 60, Russell, died Thursday, April 3, 2014, at her home.

She was born Oct. 23, 1953, in Laurenburg, N.C., to Henry Franklin and Eva Cynthia (Conner) Smith. She was a 1972 graduate of Duncan U. Fletcher Senior High School, Jacksonville, Fla.

She married James R. Alexander on Feb. 22, 1972. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, of the home; a son, Frank D. Alexander, Russell; a daughter, Crystal Alexander, Russell; two brothers, Jack and Tony; two sisters, Deloris and Vivian; and two granddaughters.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Assembly of God Calvary Chapel, Russell; burial in Russell City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday with family present from 6 to 7 p.m. at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell.

Memorials are suggested to Kansas Assembly of God Woodston Family Camp in care of the mortuary.
