Evelyn A. Langdon

Evelyn A. Langdon, 84, Winona, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008, at Sherman County Good Samaritan Center, Goodland.

She was born July 29, 1924, in Sherman County to Carl J. and Mary (Guzik) Nowak.

She married Everett Frank Langdon on Sept. 3, 1940, in Winona. He preceded her in death in 1977. She was manager of Winona Motel.

Survivors include three sons, Larry Langdon, Stratton, Neb., Eugene Langdon, Leoti, and Troy Langdon, Larned; a daughter, Joyce Boehme, Goodland; two brothers, Jim Nowak, Bonne Terre, Mo., and Fred Nowak, Goodland; two sisters, Josephine Kampmann, Cocolalla, Idaho, and Ruby Anderson, Goodland; 14 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a great-grandson.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Winona United Methodist Church; burial in Winona Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Memorials are to be designated at a later date in care of Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, Oakley.
