Evelyn R. Parks, 80, Colby, formerly of Hill City, died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at Citizens Medical Center, Colby.

She was born Feb. 7, 1933, in rural Trego County to John and Olinda (Flagler) Berschauer.

She married Verlan Parks on May 14, 1955, in WaKeeney. He preceded her in death May 21, 1989. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen Parks, Colby; and a sister, LuEtta Staats, Garden City.

She was preceded in death by a son, Randy.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Stinemetz Funeral Home, Hill City; burial in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Hill City.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with family present to receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., and from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday, both at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Graham County Hospital in care of the funeral home.
