Everett Wayne Brown, 75, Glendora, Calif., formerly of WaKeeney, died Saturday, June 19, 2010, at Monrovia, Calif., Hospital.
He was born Sept. 21, 1934, in Trego County to John W. and Mary (Rauch) Brown.
He married Ramona Scott on Oct. 16, 1956, in Oklahoma City. He was employed on the shipping docks in Los Angeles until retirement. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving aboard the USS Burton Island.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Darrel, Fontana, Calif.; a daughter, Darlene, of the home; four stepchildren, Steve, Vickie, Sherry and Annie Scott; three sisters, Dorothy Smith, Salinas, Calif., Elsie Reddig, Woodland, Calif., and Mable Knouf, Downs; and a grandson, Nathan Churchhill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Dwight and Leslie (twin) Brown; a sister, Vera Knouf; and three half-brothers, Clarence, Cecil and Robert Percell.
No visitation or services have taken place per his request.
