Fernetta Rhoden, 84, WaKeeney, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at Hays Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 28, 1929, in rural Trego County to Elmer G. and Eartha (Joy) Pugh.

She married Thomas W. Rhoden on Nov. 18, 1951, in Lenora. He preceded her in death Oct. 23, 1999.

Survivors include a son, Brad Rhoden, Topeka; a daughter, Terra Glendening, Topeka; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Schmitt Funeral Home, WaKeeney; burial in WaKeeney City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital Endowment Fund or WaKeeney Presbyterian Church in care of the funeral home.
