Floyd Victor 'Vic' Karnes

Floyd Victor "Vic" Karnes, 78, Hoxie, died Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at Sheridan County Health Complex.

He was born March 5, 1936, in Studley to Floyd and Ida Nell (Schropp) Karnes.

He married Ardith E. (Kemper) Karnes on Aug. 12, 1956, in Hoxie.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Jon Karnes, Derby; two daughters, Janelle Cooper and Jill Heskett, both of Hoxie; two sisters, Judy Weeks and Joyce Peters, both of Hoxie; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, Hoxie; burial in Hoxie City Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.

Memorials are suggested to Sheridan County EMS or First Presbyterian Church, Hoxie, in care of Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home, PO Box 987, Hoxie, KS 67740.
