Forrest 'Frosty' Stanfield

Forrest "Frosty" Stanfield, 97, Stockton, formerly of Alton, died Monday, March 18, 2013, at Hays Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 6, 1915, in rural Alton to Edgar and Rosetta (Smith) Stanfield.

He was a refrigeration technician and salesman at Hartzler's, Alton. He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran, serving during World War II.

Survivors include two sisters, Marvel Hull, Woodston, and Mildred Sherbondy, Osborne.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille, in 2002.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Clark-Gashaw Chapel, Osborne; burial in Spring Branch Cemetery, Woodston.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Stockton Baptist Church, Stockton, or Heart Ministries, Hutchinson, in care of the funeral home.
