Frances M. (Horacek) Misegadis, 91, Rush Center, died Monday, July 8, 2013, at Rush County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care, La Crosse.
She was born May 3, 1922, in rural Rush County to Jerry and Bessie (Kubale) Horacek.
She married Carl H. Misegadis on April 9, 1939, in rural Rush Center. He preceded her in death June 12, 1984. She was a bookkeeper at the Alexander Co-op prior to retirement.
She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Rush Center.
Survivors include a son, Douglas Misegadis and wife, Marcia, North Platte, Neb.; four daughters, Karla Solomon and husband, Arlyn, Rush Center, Karleen Freeman and Linda Apodaca, both of Rio Rancho, N.M., and Debra Bolt, Jonesboro, Ark.; three sisters, Pauline Misegadis, Elsie Stillings and Betty Guieken; eight grandchildren, Carlyn Solomon, Dilene Crockett, Alicia Romero, Mike Misegadis, Clif Misegadis, Kyle Schiedeman, Natalie Morgan and Lindsey Henley; 14 great-grandchildren, Jerod Solomon, Jessica Martindale, Julia Evan Solomon, Jack Misegadis, Emma Misegadis, Ethan James, Allyssa Romero, Lucus Romero, Connor Morgan, Averie Morgan, Tryston Henley, Whitney Lindsay, Tayler Lord and Paris Lord; three great-great-grandchildren, Nikolye Romero, Gavin Lindsay and Saylor Jade Lindsay; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; eight brothers, Jerry Horacek, John Horacek, James Horacek, Mickey Horacek, Donnie Horacek, Frankie Horacek, Tommy Horacek and Bobby Horacek; and a sister, Helen Williams.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hope Lutheran Church, Rush Center; burial in Locust Hill Cemetery, Rush Center.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with family receiving friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse, and from 11 a.m. to 1:50 p.m. Friday at the church.
A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice at Hays Medical Center or Rush County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care, La Crosse, in care of the funeral home.
