Frank L. Edsall, 68, Hays, died Monday, April 7, 2014, at Via Christi Village Care Center, Hays.

He was born Oct. 27, 1945, in Hays to Claude and Anna Barbara (Weber) Edsall. He attended Victoria High School.

He married Geneva L. (Gerhardt) Unrein on July 8, 1995, in Hays. She preceded him in death July 25, 2002. He was a farmer and worked for Leo J. Dreiling Farms for 13 years. He enjoyed gardening and lived in Hays since 1995. He moved to the care center in 2002.

He was a former member of St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria, and a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Donna (Weber) Hashenberger, Hays; six step-grandchildren, Kimberly Weber, Jessica Gibson, Erica Gibson, Chad Haynes, Shawna Haynes and Scott Haynes; and a brother, Ivan Edsall and wife, Kathy, Victoria.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin brother, Daniel Edsall; a sister-in-law, Patsy Braun-Edsall; and a stepdaughter, Brenda (Unrein) Haynes.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays; inurnment will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, both at Cline’s Mortuary of Hays, 1919 E. 22nd, Hays, KS 67601.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hays Medical Center or Via Christi Village in care of the funeral home.
