Galen Orval Siemers

Galen Orval Siemers, 73, South Fayette, Pa., died Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, at St. Clair Hospital.

He was born Oct. 27, 1940, in Waldo to Irvin Orval and Bernice Evelyn McCoy Siemers.

He was an insurance adjuster for GAB Robins Co., Omaha, Neb., and specialized in storm claims. He was an Army Reserves veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of Cecil American Legion.

He enjoyed watching sports, especially college basketball.

Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Desbiens Siemers, South Fayette; a step-daughter, Cynthia Millhouse and husband, Scott, Mount Lebanon; three step-grandchildren, Amanda Dornish, New York, N.Y., Brandon Dornish and Colin Dornish, both of Mount Lebanon.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, (Rt. 50) Cecil PA; burial will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township, with full military honors accorded by VFW No. 191 Honor Guard, Canonsburg.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, both at the funeral home.
