Gary Mark Torr, 63, Beloit, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Mitchell County Hospital, Beloit, after a long illness.

He was a musician, an oilfield geologist, a fossil and artifact hunter and a great lover of cats.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy; his parents, Gwen and Neil Torr; a daughter, Christine (Josh Toler); granddaughters, Mickenzie and Kenedie, Topeka; his sisters, Sue (Bruce Hogan), Wichita, and Jill (Dave Goddard), Russell, and their families; his cousin, Judy Walters; and his aunt, Tiny Moore, Beloit.

Per his request, there will be no services.

Memorials are suggested to Post Rock Humane Society.
