Wallace F. Gattshall

Wallace F. Gattshall, 95, Sherman County, died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, at Cheyenne County Hospital, St. Francis.

He was born June 15, 1913, in Kit Carson County, Colo., to Frank Quincy and Millie B. (Hartzler) Gattshall. He graduated from high school in St. Francis.

He married Vera Marie Livingston on June 6, 1943, in Goodland. She preceded him in death. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II.

Survivors include two sons, Robert W. Gattshall, Shawnee, and William Q. Gattshall, Goodland; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Mountain time Tuesday at Koons Chapel, Goodland; burial in Goodland Cemetery, with military honors.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Mountain time Monday at the chapel.

Memorials are suggested to the Cheyenne County Hospital in care of the funeral home.
