Georgina 'Jean' Aschenbrenner

Georgina "Jean" Aschenbrenner, 90, Oakley, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013. at Logan County Manor.
She was born March 22, 1923, in Voda to Ludwig "Louis" and Anna (Leiker) Glassman.
She married William J. Aschenbrenner on Nov. 21, 1944, in Oakley. He preceded her in death.
She was a farm wife and seamstress and volunteered her time and talent at St. Joseph Catholic School.
She was a member of St. Joseph Altar Society, Daughters of Isabella and St. Joseph Catholic Church where she served as a sacristan for 25 years.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas Aschenbrenner and wife, Nancy, Pratt, and Kenneth Aschenbrenner and wife, Rebecca, Oakley; three daughters, Mary Ann Snethen and husband, Harold, Goodland, Janet Zerr and husband, Terry, Oakley, and Wilma Doll, Big Spring, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, John; three brothers, Peter, Marvin and Alfred; three sisters, Henrietta Weigel, Clara Athman and Mary Ann Cote'; four infant brothers; and step-mother, Elizabeth.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oakley; burial in church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Baalmann Mortuary, Oakley.
A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
