Gerald B. Brewster, 87, Hoxie, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at his home.

He was born April 18, 1925, in Sheridan County to Robert L. and Ona F. (Cressler) Brewster.

He married Elizabeth (McClelland) Brewster on June 6, 1948, in Tasco.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Robert Brewster, Hoxie; two daughters, Ellen R. Howard, Indianola, Neb., and Teresa A. Follis, Memphis, Tenn.; two sisters, Fern Finley, Mesa, Ariz., and Phyllis Karnes, Loveland, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Christian Fellowship Church, Hoxie; burial in Lucerene Cemetery, with military rites by Fort Riley Honor Guard, Fort Riley.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with family receiving friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home, Hoxie.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice Services or the church in care of the funeral home.
