Gerald D. Bethke, 86, Stuttgart, died Friday, July 23, 2010, at Norton County Hospital, Norton.

He was born Dec. 8, 1923, in Stuttgart to Henry and Anna (Veeh) Bethke.

He was CEO of Farmers State Bank, Stuttgart.

Survivors include a son, Brian, Larned; a daughter, Jeannine Bethke, Topeka; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lela, on Aug. 31, 2004.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stuttgart; burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, with family present from 7 to 8 p.m., both at Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg.

Memorials are suggested to the church in care of the funeral home.
