Gladys L. (Gilleece) Long, 95, Hays, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014.

She was born April 4, 1919, in New Almelo Township, Norton County.

Survivors include nine sons, Kenneth Long and wife, Dorothy, Nixa, Mo., Roger Long and wife, JoAnn, New Almelo, Joseph Long and wife, Rose Ann, Climax Springs, Mo., Tom Long and wife, Jan, Woodruff, Floyd Long and wife, Karen, Kimball, Neb., Frank Long and wife, Leticia, St. Elizabeth, Mo., Fred Long and wife, Mardi, Independence, Gary Long and wife, Carolyn, Hill City, and Lenord Long and wife, Joan, Logan; a son-in-law, Doyle McDougal, North Platte, Neb.; four daughters, Rita Barker and husband, Bill, Hays, Rhonda Johnson and husband, Dennis, Lindsborg, Irene Schieferecke, McPherson, and Geraldine Baalmann and husband, Mark; 36 grandchildren; and 70 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion F. Long; an infant son, Lawrence; a daughter, Imogene McDougal; and two sisters, Amanda Hickert and Millie Hahn.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, New Almelo; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, New Almelo.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. until time of service Saturday, both at St. Joseph Parish Hall.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the parish hall.

Pauls Funeral Home, Oberlin, is in charge of arrangements.
