Harold 'Harry' Dean Gross

Harold "Harry" Dean Gross, 69, Raytown, Mo., died Monday, June 24, 2013.

He was born July 17, 1943, in Hays to Albines (Bike) and Eleanor (Polifka) Gross. He graduated from St. Joseph Military Academy and Fort Hays State University with a bachelor's degree in mathematics.

He retired from IBT Inc.

He enjoyed collecting stamps and coins, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy, of 25 years; a son, Allen Redick; two daughters, Sherry Eissler and husband, Richard, and Sheryl Whitesel and husband, Ed; three brothers, the Rev. Matthew Gross, Donald Gross and wife, Anne, and Kenneth Gross and wife, Beverly; two sisters, Mary E. Gross and Kathleen Jacob and husband, Joseph; many nieces and nephews; extended family; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials are suggested to Parkinson's Foundation.
