Harold Francis Werth

Harold Francis Werth, 81, Quinter, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Gove County Medical Center, Quinter.

He was born April 7, 1931, in Antonino to Felix and Anna (Klaus) Werth.

He married Betty Jean Jacobs on Oct. 10, 1949, in Antonino. She preceded him in death. They farmed together in Sheridan County for more than 60 years.

Survivors include two sons, Neil Werth, Hays, and Harold Werth Jr., Quinter; a daughter, Michelle Houser, Quinter; a brother, Harvey Werth, Hays; a sister, Dolores Haselhorst, Antonino; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Leon Werth; and a grandson.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Park.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Schmitt Funeral Home, Quinter.

A vigil will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Cemetery Fund or Gove County Medical Center Long Term Care in care of the funeral home.
