Harry Lee Hunsley III, 82, Russell, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, at his home.

He was born Nov. 3, 1931, in Larned to Harry Jr. and Ann (Bishop) Hunsley. He was a graduate of Great Bend High School and Kansas State University with a degree in civil engineering.

He married Joan Marie Wilkerson on August 5, 1956, in Russell. She preceded him in death Jan. 31, 2005. He was co-owner of White, Hunsley & Associates for 18 years and marketing engineer for Kirkham-Michael from 1998 to 2011.

He was a U.S. Army veteran in the Combat Engineers, serving from 1953 to 1955.

Survivors include a son, Mitch Hunsley, Russell; two daughters, Stephannie Goerl, Great Bend, and Lisa Wheeler, Yukon, Okla.; a sister, Andra Lee Lehr Tracy, Great Bend; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church; private family burial of ashes will follow at a later date.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, with family present to greet friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell.

Memorials are suggested to Russell Community Theater in care of the mortuary.
