Don Hayes, 86, Logan, formerly of Phillipsburg, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at Logan Manor.

He was born June 10, 1926, in Riley County to George and Alice (Jahnke) Hayes.

He worked for Tamko Asphalt Products in Phillipsburg for 22 years, prior to retiring in 1992.

Survivors include his wife, Pearl, of the home; a daughter, Debbie Hays, Phillipsburg; a sister, Mary Alice Ewing, Illinois; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. at Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg; burial in Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg with military honors by the U.S. Navy.

Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday, both at the funeral home with family receiving friends Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to United Presbyterian Church, the Phillipsburg Fire Department or Phillips County EMS, in care of the funeral home.
