Helen Marcile Broadie Tucker, 99, Florence, Colo., formerly of Natoma, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at Forgetmenot Care Home, Florence, Colo.

She was born Jan. 29, 1913, in Ashland to Hallie (Baker) and Elmer Broadie. She graduated from Ashland High School and attended Fort Hays State University, where she obtained her teaching certificate.

She married Stephen Randall Tucker on Aug. 10, 1933, in Coldwater. He preceded her in death in 1997. She taught first grade at Natoma Elementary for many years before retiring.

Survivors include a daughter, Beverly, Canon City, Colo.; two granddaughters; two grandsons; four great-grandchildren; and two step-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by a son, Michael; three infant sons; and a great-grandson.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Natoma United Methodist Church; burial in Plainville City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Morturary, Natoma.

Memorials are suggested to Natoma United Methodist Church in care of the mortuary.
