Henrietta (Rome) Dinkel, 90, Hays, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, at Via Christi Village, Hays.

She was born Oct. 18, 1923, in Victoria to Jacob M. and Eva (Weigel) Rome.

She married Gerard "Jerry" Dinkel on Jan. 8, 1946, in Victoria. He preceded her in death Jan. 9, 2008. She was a homemaker and moved to Hays in 1954.

She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays.

Survivors include two daughters, Janet Dinkel, Hays, and Peggy Grabbe and husband, Robert, Fort Collins, Colo.; a brother, Wilmer Rome, Victoria; her sister-in-law, Fidelia Rome, Hays; two grandsons, Shon Grabbe and wife, Julie, San Jose, Calif., and Scot Grabbe and wife, Stacey, Palm Desert, Calif.; and three great-grandchildren, Porter Grabbe, Brooke Grabbe and Austen Grabbe.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Randy Dinkel; three brothers, Clarence Rome, Gilmore Rome and Wilfred Rome; and a sister, Lucy Geist.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1805 Vine, Hays; private family inurnment will be in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Thursday, both at Cline's Mortuary of Hays, 1919 E. 22nd, Hays, KS 67601.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in care of the mortuary.
