Ilene Marie (Standley) Deatherage, 84, Russell, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at her home.

She was born Feb. 13, 1928, in Lucas to Albert Franklin and Elsie Elizabeth (Ward) Standley. She graduated from Lucas High School and attended Fort Hays State University, where she obtained her degree in teaching.

She married Derrold Eugene Deatherage on July 15, 1950, in Augusta. He preceded her in death Oct. 26, 1985. She worked for Contact America, Victoria, from 1988 until retirement in 2010.

Survivors include two sons, David Deatherage and Dell Deatherage, both of Russell; a daughter, Linda Rizzo, Russell; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell; burial in Russell City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
