Iona Ann Pfannenstiel, 79, Ness City, died Monday, July 29, 2013, at Rhode Island Suites, Ransom.

She was born Aug. 24, 1933, in Ness County to Joseph and Amelia (Ruder) Pfannenstiel.

She was an assistant to Dr. Parker and later was a clerk in the ASCS office for 30 years until retirement in 1992.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, altar society and church choir.

Survivors include three sisters-in-law, Lorene, Ann and Berniece Pfannenstiel; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by seven brothers, Wendell, Edgar, Theobaldus, Marcellus, Robert, Harold and William; and four sisters, Adeline Leiker, Tillie Depperschmidt, Lydia Stecklein and Florence Pfannenstiel.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ness City; burial in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City.

A rosary/vigil will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, both at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Church in care of the funeral home.
