Irene Margaret (Musbach) Stenzel, 92, Ness City, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014.

She was born July 1, 1921, in Ness City to Harvey and Kathryn Musbach. She attended Ness City public schools, graduating in 1939. She was a beautician, graduating from cosmetology school in Wichita in 1941. She married Ralph Stenzel on Dec. 29, 1946, in Ness City. She owned Irene's Beauty Shop for many years.

She was a member of the Ness City United Methodist Church; American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 152, Ness City; Ransom Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary; and Ness City Leisure Years.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Loren; a daughter-in-law, Lynette; a brother, Allen Musbach, Ness City; two sisters, Vi Burditt and Arlene Miller, both of Ness City; two granddaughters, Tasha Wessel and husband, Bob, Hutchinson, and Jill Schaben and husband, Travis, Hays; four great-granddaughters, Emily and Raegan Wessel, both of Hutchinson, and Alexis and Kaitlyn Schaben, both of Hays.

She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Marvin; her parents; and a daughter-in-law, Dee Stenzel.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church, Ness City; burial in Ness City Cemetery.

Visitation will be until 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, both at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City.

Memorials are suggested to Faith In Action or American Legion Auxiliary Unit 152-Hospital Equipment in care of the funeral home.
