Isa Elaine Rumback, 86, Hutchinson, died Friday, April 19, 2013, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.

She was born Sept. 3, 1926 in Lucerne on the Teel family homestead to Arthur "Artie" Lewis and Anna Vera (Shoemaker) Teel.

She was a 1944 graduate of Lenora High School and received her normal training certificate. She taught for six years in northwest Kansas. She was an Avon and Shaklee Vitamins sales representative and a homemaker.

She married Wilfred James "Fritz" Rumback on Aug. 7, 1948, in Hays. He preceded her in death Sept. 21, 1998.

After moving to Hutchinson in 1954, she belonged to St. Teresa Catholic Church, where she led prayer groups and Bible study. She was a member of the Crochet Angels group at Elmdale Community Center and a beloved "aunt" and mentor to many.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Bynum and husband, Gerald, Olathe; three sons, David Rumback and wife, Gretchen, Wichita, and Don Rumback and wife, Karla, and Bill Rumback and wife, Ana, all of Hutchinson; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Francis "Snook" Teel; and three sisters, Beryle Martin, LoRene "Polly" Getz and Joan Burr.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Teresa Catholic Church; burial in Penwell Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home, Hutchinson.

A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to St. Teresa Catholic Church or Hospice House in care of the funeral home.
