James Michael “Fritz” Wohler, 50, Victoria, died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City.

He was born Aug. 21, 1963, in Wichita to Cecil Alvin and Jean Frances (Estes) Wohler. He was a 1981 graduate of Wichita North High School.

He married Peggy Hammersmith on Feb. 3, 2001, in Dodge City. He was a sales representative for Xcaliber International for the last four years and was with United States Smokeless Tobacco for 15 years. He moved to Victoria in 2002.

He was a member of St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria.

He enjoyed all sports, his kids and family.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; four sons, Barnabus Wohler, Salina, Jublain Wohler, Wichita, and Michael Wohler and Thaddeus Wohler, both of the home; six daughters, Anastasia Wohler, Salina, Brenda Gaston and husband, Dan, Leawood, Kristi Geihsler and husband, Jeremey, Overland Park, Jolene Haas and husband, Ty, Hays, Marie Hoffman, Lawrence, and Stephanie Hoffman, Manhattan; his mother, Wichita; three bothers, Gil Wohler and wife, Eliana, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; Tim Wohler and wife, Therese, and Tom Wohler, all of Wichita; a sister, Gail Gidney and husband, Kevin, Park City; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ralph and Millie Hammersmith-Windholz, Victoria; two grandchildren, Peyton Geihsler and Elle Geihsler; and several nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria; burial in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday, both at Cline’s Mortuary, 412 Main, Victoria, KS 67671.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to the children’s education in care of Peggy Wohler.
