Jane Schmidtberger, 90, Quinter, formerly of Grainfield, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at Gove County Medical Center Long Term Care, Quinter.
She was born Aug. 14, 1923, in Collyer to George Joseph and Susan (Zimmerman) Lipp. She was a 1942 graduate of Park High School.
She married Dick Waldman on June 21, 1943, in Park. He preceded her in death Oct. 4, 1974. She later married Victor Schmidtberger on Aug. 28, 1976, in Oakley. She co-owned Dick's Insurance with her first husband.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Donna Waldman-Garrett, Park; two sisters, Frances Chism, Denver, and Julie Hodge, Inver Grove Heights, Minn.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Darla Waldman.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Park; burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.
A vigil will be at 5:45 p.m. Thursday at the church.
A ladies rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the church.
