Jay C. Hutchison, 80, Russell, formerly of Howard, died Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at Russell Regional Hospital.

He was born Feb. 27, 1931, in Howard to Ray and Grace (McCarty) Hutchison. He was a 1949 graduate of Russell High School.

He married Donna Rae Dumler in 1979. He was owner and operator of Jolly J. Inc. Oil Co.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, of the home; a son, Brad Hutchison, Russell; a daughter, Kathy Fuller, Russell; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Becky Thouvenelle; and a stepdaughter, Merceda Ayers.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Lutheran Church.

Friends can sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell; cremation has preceded the services.

Memorials are suggested to Humane Society of the High Plains, Hays, in care of the mortuary.
