Jeanette F. (Dreiling) Pfortmiller, 80, Hays, died Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Hays Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 14, 1932, in Emmeram to Ray M. and Melsina (Dreiling) Dreiling. She was a 1950 graduate of Girls Catholic High School, Hays, and graduated from St. Frances School of Nursing, Wichita.

She married Glenn Pfortmiller on Jan. 16, 1954, in Hays. He preceded her in death Sept. 25, 2010. She was an operating room nurse at St. Anthony Hospital, Hays, and worked in Omaha and Wichita totaling more than 35 years. She and her husband owned and operated G & J Floral Shop in Hays for 20 years.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella, both of Hays. She enjoyed her family and grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol and husband, Dr. Kurt Glendening, Hays; a sister, Eileen Dreiling, Wichita; three grandchildren, Ryan Glendening and wife, Jessica, Lindsey Glendening, and John Glendening and Amy Vignery; and two great-grandchildren, Rowan Glendening and Aila Glendening.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Daniel Pfortmiller and Dr. Gary Pfortmiller; two brothers, Ray Dreiling and Bernie Dreiling; and three sisters, Catherine Harkness, Mildred Schaible and Patricia Boswell.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday, both at Cline's Mortuary of Hays, 1919 E. 22nd, Hays, KS 67601.

A Hays Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday, followed by a vigil at 7 p.m., both at the mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to Hays Public Library Children's Department in care of the mortuary.
