Jeanne H. Baczkowski, 85, Hays, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at Good Samaritan Society, Hays.

She was born July 10, 1927, in Charleroi, Belgium, to Emile and Henriette (Vairon) Lesne.

She married Jean H. Baczkowski on Aug. 7, 1948, in Belgium. The family moved to the U.S. in 1957. He preceded her in death Sept. 25, 2005.

Survivors include three sons, Pierre "Skip" Baczkowski and wife, Susan, Hays, Theo Baczkowski and wife, Ilo, Dighton, and Jean E. Baczkowski and wife, Ruth, Valley Center; a brother, Charles Lesne, Belgium; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Henriette "FiFi" Baxter, on July 14, 1997.

Private family services will be in Great Bend Cemetery.

Brock's North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601, is in charge of arrangements.
