Jeremy Owen Johnson, 27, Hays, died Thursday, June 14, 2012, as the result of a work accident in rural Ellis County.

He was born Feb. 21, 1985, in Great Bend to Howard and Carmen (Beck) Johnson. He was a 2003 graduate of Claflin High School. He was a tire and vehicle technician at KansasLand Tire, Hays.

He was an avid outdoorsman and sports fan enjoying NASCAR and Kansas City Chiefs football.

Survivors include his fiancé, Laura Dunn and son, Treighton Dunn, both of Hays; his parents, Claflin; a brother, Bradley Johnson, Claflin; his grandparents, Florence Johnson, Pawnee and Rock and Bob and Nancy Beck, all of Claflin; future in-laws, David and Joan Dunn, Hays; future brother-in-law, Michael Dunn and wife, Mary, and daughter, Molly, all of Grandview, Mo., and future grandmother-in-law, Norine Giebler, Hays.

He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Carl Johnson.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Brock's North Hill Chapel 2509 Vine Hays, KS. 67601.

A prayer service will be at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the Treighton Dunn Education Fund, in care of the funeral home.
