Jimmie L. Shewey
Jimmie Lee Shewey, 48, Norton, died Sunday, May 11, 2008, at Kindred Hospital, Kansas City, Mo.
He was born Aug. 20, 1959, in Norton to Gerald R. and Virginia Clara (Traxler) Shewey, He was a 1977 graduate of Northern Valley High School, Almena, and a 1979 graduate of Goodland Vo-Tech.
He worked at Norton State Hospital.
Survivors include a son, Shawn Shewey, Norton; a daughter, Dawn Hock, Norton; his mother, Norton; two brothers, George Shewey, Norton, and Gerald Shewey, Davenport, Iowa; four sisters, Helen Shewey, Topeka, Julia Jellison, Tonganoxie, Rosie Lentz, Almena, and Karen Anderson, Prairie View; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Church of God, Norton; inurnment in Norton Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Jimmie Shewey Memorial Fund in care of Enfield Funeral Home, Norton.
